John T. Soyars graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1987. He received his law degree from Vanderbilt University in 1990. He is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and is admitted to practice before United States District Court, Western District of Kentucky, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
His law practice focus is on insurance defense, including civil rights claims against government entities, probate, and general civil litigation.
John is a long-serving member of the board of directors for the Hopkinsville-Christian County Crime Stoppers, Inc., and has held a variety of offices with that organization. He has previously served as a commissioner with the Hopkinsville-Christian County Human Relations Commission and is a past board member for the Hopkinsville-Christian County Boys & Girls Club.
He is a parishioner of Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church. He enjoys attending football games and playing guitar.
